Core Values at First Evangelical Free Church

—Gospel Centrality (Colossians 1:5b-6)
Prioritizing the Gospel message as the undercurrent of every ministry.

Colossians 1:5b-6- "Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth."

—Cultural Engagement (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
Crossing cultural barriers to help outsiders find new life and redemption in Jesus.

1Corinthians 9:19 - "For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. 20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. 21 To those outside the law, I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means, I might save some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings."

—Celebratory Worship (Isaiah 25:9)
Responding to God’s grace with authentic gratitude, service, and praise.

Isaiah 25:9- "It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us.
This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”

—Missional Living (Acts 2:44-46)
On mission together, sharing our lives, resources, and gifts for God’s glory and the gospel’s advancement.

Acts 2:44-46- 'And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."

—Adventurous Faith (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Asking and expecting great things from God.

Ephesians 3:20- "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us."
