Digging Deeper

"But Jesus Said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 19:14

What is Digging Deeper?

Digging Deeper is a time set apart during the sermon for children ages 3 through 3rd grade. Children attend the first part of the service with their families, participating in the singing, prayer, and communion time and get dismissed to digging deeper right before the sermon. In Digging Deeper we teach a Bible lesson, followed by an acting out or discussing the story and doing a fun activity. Usually class ends with everyone playing outside.

Why Digging Deeper?

The purpose of Digging Deeper is to help the children grow in their understanding of the Lord, His Gospel, and the Bible, in order to help them become believers and young disciples. We have four pairs of teachers, who each teach once a month.  This gives opportunity for several teachers to get to know and share Christ with the children, while also missing only one sermon time per month.  And the children are blessed to get to know a number of different adults.
