Ministry Opportunities

  • Looking for a simple way to serve? We need Snack Providers for the lobby and at the family tables in the sanctuary. Contact the church office for more information or to sign up.
  • We are creating a team to help with the production of Video Announcements. Tasks would include videoing the speaker, editing videos, choosing background and lighting, etc. Please contact the church office to sign up for this opportunity.
  • Do you have an interest in leading the children's ministry or know of someone who would do a great job of it? If so, please contact Derrick Howard at derrick@efclascruces.org.
  • Our Worship Team is looking for a drummer. If you are a drummer or know one who is looking for a place to serve, please reach out to Michael Dean.
  • Digging Deeper, our church’s children’s ministry during the sermon time, is looking for one or two new teams. Please contact Julie Schumpelt, Director of Digging Deeper.

New Equipping Class starting on August 30th

Our "Everyday Revolutionary" Equipping Class this Sunday is entitled "Why We Are Here." As we look into the life of Daniel, we can gain insight on what it means to bear accurate witness to Jesus through both grace-filled actions and truth-centered words—prioritizing this mission above political or cultural agendas. Come at 9 a.m. to join our video-based study by J. D. Greear based on the books of Daniel and 1 Peter.

Diaper Drive for Showers of Grace

In preparation for their Fall Reunion on October 10, First EFC is collecting diapers for Showers of Grace families during the month of September. Every size is needed but particularly sizes 4, 5, 6, and 7. Place donations in the playpen in the foyer. Thank you!

Ministry Fair on Sept. 13

Our church is hosting a Ministry Fair on Sept 13 from 9-10 AM and also after the worship service. This is a wonderful way to learn about all of our ministries and a super opportunity to ask questions and engage with our Ministry Leaders, and possibly sign up for a ministry or two as the Lord leads.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

     Celebrate Recovery, a 12-Step program based on the Beatitudes about addressing "Hurts, Habits, and Hang-Ups”, meets every Monday night for teaching and testimonies at Temple Baptist on Missouri near Triviz from  6-8 p.m.
There is also the option of every Tuesday at University Community Church on Jordan at University. 6-8 p.m.
