Equipping Class

An Equipping Class entitled "How (Not) to Read the Bible," a six-session video-based study from RightNow Media began July 19. The class meets at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall on Sundays. Each session is based on a guide written by Dan Kimball on how to make sense of misunderstood, difficult, and disturbing Bible passages related to women, science, violence, slavery, and world religions. Join us each Sunday for lessons featuring short videos filled with stories, visual illustrations, and memes reflecting popular cultural objections, followed by a stimulating time of discussion.
We also encourage you to listen to a Moody Radio program called The Land And The Book.  It often provides very helpful insights regarding God's involvement in Israel, as well as how to reach out to our friends with the Gospel.  Check out Moody Radio at 89.7 at noon on Saturdays, or 9 p.m. on Sundays.  To listen at your convenience, get the Moody Radio app (free) and at the bottom click on "Discover."  Under that, scroll down until you see "The Land And The Book."
May we all continue to grow in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  Col. 1:10-14

Saturday Afternoon Psalms- Women Only

John 15:4,5 Jesus said, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
To encourage this abiding in Christ, we are having a women's Saturday Afternoon Psalm and prayer time from 3-4 PM, meeting here at First EFC.
Open to all women. No homework.
Come, if God leads you.

See you in August at the Playground!

We look forward to seeing you on the 6th and 20th of August!
