IGNITE! A Season of Seeking God

Current Equipping Hour Class

The best laid plans of mice and men sometimes don’t quite work out!  If you have been following our class you will realize that our discussions are not following my original plan – based on consensus of those attending the class, we will continue to move through the scriptures at a slower pace and not be so concerned about the schedule – never fear we will get there – we just happen to be on the slow train and not the express line! This week we will pick up with the Hebrews after their crossing of the Red Sea and work our way through their wilderness journey looking at the giving of the law, the complaints, and God’s responses to them and if all goes well the beginning of the conquest of the land under Joshua.

AWANA Club

AWANA Club is back this week. Join us on Sunday evening!
See you next week from 5:15 - 7:30 PM here at EFC.

SOUPER BOWL of Caring

Our church family has an opportunity to participate in the "Souper Bowl of Caring" project.  As friends & families nationwide gather together to participate in Super Bowl activities, there are many families who are food insecure & lack even a simple bowl of soup to nourish them.

Our church's Global Ministry Team is coordinating collecting food donations for our local Gospel Rescue Mission during February. You can bring food items (cans of soup or other non-perishable items) and deposit them in the container located in the church foyer.  If you would like to make a monetary donation (either cash or check) please designate that it is for the Gospel Rescue Mission & put it in the donation box, or you can donate directly through lcgrm.org

Let's join together to help the less fortunate right here in Las Cruces.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery, a 12-Step program based on the Beatitudes about addressing "Hurts, Habits, and Hang-Ups”, meets every Monday night for teaching and testimonies at University Presbyterian Church on Wisconsin Ave at 6:30 PM. Supper is available at 5:45 PM on Mondays for a reasonable donation. If you are new to CR, come on a Monday night to get all the info.
The ‘meat and potatoes’ of Celebrate Recovery are the group studies that meet weekly for about 8 months. Separate groups for men and women have started. These will be held at Real Life Church from 6-8 PM. To learn more about these and/or to sign up, come to a Monday night meeting or call Paul Thomas at 575-914-4365.
