Elder Team Report – May 17, 2026
Dear Church Family,
Your elders met on May 17 for a full afternoon of prayer, shepherding, and planning. We are grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness and encouraged by the many ways He is at work in our church family.
Shepherding with Greater Intentionality
One of the most significant improvements we have made as an elder team is reorganizing our meetings so that each elder now gives a report on the ministries and leaders he serves as liaison. This ensures that every area of ministry receives regular attention, prayer, encouragement, and accountability.
Our goal is simple: to know well the condition of the flock and to provide faithful shepherding so that no ministry, leader, or need is unintentionally overlooked (Proverbs 27:23).
Caring for People
The elders continue to invest personally in the lives of our church family through visits, prayer, counseling, and encouragement. This month included shepherding individuals and families facing health concerns, grief, financial needs, and spiritual decisions.
We are also excited about several people pursuing baptism and membership, and we are preparing to welcome new members in the coming months.
Youth Ministry Progress
We are encouraged by positive developments in the youth ministry:
Women’s Ministry Leadership
As Mary Eiceman prepares to conclude her faithful service, the elders are grateful for her years of dedication. We are pleased that Rona Powell has agreed to serve as interim Women’s Ministry Director while the congregation is invited to submit nominations for this important role.
Equipping and Discipleship
We are excited that John Powell has launched a new equipping class, The Practical Art of Spiritual Conversation, designed to help believers engage others with the truth of the gospel in everyday life.
Facilities Improvements
Several projects are moving forward to improve our campus for ministry:
Children’s Ministry and Nursery
We continue to address staffing needs in children’s ministry. We are grateful that Kristy Meyer has agreed to serve as Nursery Director, and progress is being made toward implementing a more effective child check-in system for the fall.
Financial Stewardship
The elders continue to monitor the church’s finances carefully and are working with our financial team on several important items, including investment oversight, insurance renewals, and a long-term plan to restore Pastor Jeremiah’s salary as the Lord provides.
We remain grateful for God’s provision through your faithful generosity.
Looking Ahead
Please mark your calendars for these important dates:
Thank You for Your Prayers
We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and partnership in the gospel. It is a joy to serve a church family that loves Christ and desires to grow together.
Please continue praying that God would give your elders wisdom, unity, and grace as we seek to shepherd His church faithfully.
In Christ,

April 19, 2026
Dear Church Family,
We are so grateful to God for another fruitful Elder Team meeting filled with prayer, encouragement, and vision for our church’s future. Your elders gathered on April 19 to seek the Lord together, celebrate His work among us, and plan ways to love and serve you even more faithfully. Here are some of the wonderful things we accomplished and the exciting things ahead!
Wonderful Things Accomplished
- Strong Spiritual Foundation: We began with prayer and a meaningful time of personal check-in. Each elder shared what they are grateful for, what feels heavy, and a Scripture that is shaping them—building unity and dependence on God as we lead.
- Active Shepherding & Care: Pastor Jeremiah and the elders reported many encouraging connections this month—visits, community groups, and personal care for individuals and families. We rejoiced over new member prospects and several people moving toward baptism!
- Youth Ministry Momentum: Broc DuBois shared great progress in the youth leadership transition. Broc will finish his youth ministry in May and hand the baton to parents who will help facilitate the ministry moving forward for the time being. A parent meeting was held, and plans are underway for more fun social activities this summer driven by the students’ own interests. Ten of our young people will attend the Challenge Conference! The elders have asked Broc to plan two additional fundraisers to help supplement the costs. We still need to raise an additional $5,600 to make this incredible opportunity fully accessible for our youth. Chaperone expenses are being covered, and we’re grateful for the whole church’s partnership in raising up the next generation.
- Facilities & Hospitality Upgrades: The church building front has been beautifully painted! Looking ahead, the Facilities Team will continue working alongside our Youth Ministry to develop a Welcome Center at the main entrance—enhancing our ability to warmly receive and serve those who come through our doors. Because this project impacts the current youth meeting space, we are pursuing design options that allow for a flexible, dual-purpose use of the area. In addition, the elders have made available several unused classrooms on the north side of the building. These spaces could be remodeled to better serve our youth ministry, should there be interest in pursuing that opportunity. New signage, security enhancements—including approval for the security team to purchase new radios (estimated $500)—and practical improvements are all moving forward to make our facilities even more welcoming and safe.
- Faithful Stewardship: Treasurer Steve Graige and the team continue excellent oversight of our finances. We renewed our Workman’s Comp insurance at a better rate and ratified helpful policies for offering collection and financial reviews. These steps protect and strengthen our ability to serve together.
- Ministry Leadership & Equipping: Updates from Men’s Ministry (Mother’s Day Breakfast and shooting range event), Women’s Ministry, Equipping (new class starting May 17!), Community Groups, and more show God at work through so many willing servants. We’re prayerfully considering leadership transitions so every ministry is well-supported.
Exciting Things Coming Up
- Challenge Conference for our youth—please be praying for the 10 youth, 3 chaperones, and the two upcoming fundraisers Broc is leading!
- Welcome Center & Youth Space — the facilities and youth teams are working together on a beautiful new entrance and Welcome Center (target completion mid-August for our Fall “reboot”), with possible redesignation of north-side classroom space for youth use. Get ready for a fresh, inviting space this fall!
- Ignite Prayer Meetings beginning Tuesday evenings in May at 7:00 p.m.—a wonderful opportunity to seek God together.
- Town Hall gatherings (possibly in June or July) to connect, share updates, and hear from you.
- Next Congregational Meeting to celebrate new members and more.
- Continued growth in ministry roles, equipping classes, and vision for 2026.
